Adrian Villarroto (around 1490 - 1562) is a Flemish musician from the Renaissance period. Since being appointed in the year 1527, he has been the chairman of the San Marco temple of Venice in Italy and has become the founder of the Venetian school faction who became an important turning point in the development of Western music history. Before life he was admired as "composer of immortal fame", "Pythagoras of 2", "one of inventors of the new era".

I think that I was born in Belgium now Bruges or its surroundings, but when I go to Paris I will study with Jean Mouton, a French court chapel composer. Later serve the Duke of Ferrara in Italy and then obtain a position in the court chapel of Epopolito 2 of the Archbishop of Milan. And in 1527 he will take office as Chairman of the St. Mark's Basilica, which will have a big meaning for future music history.

In the famous St. Mark's temple in Byzantine style there were 2 organ and 2 choir seats on both sides of the altar, and there was a cupola (dome) with a large space of long reverberation. There is a time lag between opposing choirs due to the reverberation, but Villarut creates a unique stereo effect by the alternation style which makes it sing alternately using it, and it is a musical effect It was directed. Villaruto writes an eight-voice motet "Psalm collection split chorus Salmi spezzati" in 1550 year, which is a gorgeous 2 heavy chorus psalm, as a division choral song for the first time It was the most typical example.

In this way, Vilaert became the center musician of that period, from the time of Josquin des Prés until the age of Palestrina one generation ago.

He is extremely prolific and well-versed in various styles of composition, and has a lifetime 8 songs of masses, more than 50 songs of poetry, more than 150 songs motets, 60 songs Chanson, Madrigale more than 70 songs and so on.

Eventually set in the San Marco temple, the Venetian school departing from Vilaert occurred, and these complex choral styles spread throughout Italy, eventually Venice became the center of Western music in those days.

Following Vilaert, the succession musicians who took over the musical staff of the St. Mark's temple, Josepho Zarrynino and Giovanni Gabrieli, etc. influenced the heyday of Venice musicians and influenced the inside of Europe, eventually telling the beginning of Baroque We will wait for the appearance of Claudio Monteverdi.
